"Minus", a German minimal techno imprint, plans to release a musical work to praise Richie Hawtin's productions as Plastikman. The work will be entitled Kompilation.
Throughout the 1990s to the early 2000s, Plastikman had produced scores of atmospheric singles that became highlights of techno music of the time. For example, the phenomenal track "Plasticine" was released in 1993, while the track "Ask Yourself" was made in 2004.
From these tracks, Kompilation will feature these and more to showcase the diversity of minimal and techno music of Richie Hawtin. Kompilation will be widely released in August, even though it was formerly available at Minus's "Ghost Shop" in Barcelona at the 2010 Sonar Festival. Kompilation will be released at the same time that Hawtin himself has recently revived the Plastikman alias through recent live shows and festivals.
